cerealjoe: (FMA - god's busy... can ed help you?)

Dear internets,

Why the hell are there so many noobs around? Why? Why do they ask stupid questions that are totally out of line in so many coms? If those were proper appropriate noob questions, okie, I would get it... but those are really out of line. No, actually even appropriate noob questions posted as a separate entry are out of line since there is "ask a question" post. Obviously it's not a discussion group, so don't fucking post discussion questions! Damn it! The worst part is that other noobs are actually making the first two replies and actually want to participate in the discussion, how adorable... right.

And it's not just LJ or anything. It's everywhere. Suddenly those on this planet who were too "busy" during the school year got on the internets and want to play. To all the students on my flist: you are brilliant because you know how to ally the internets with school work. To all the non-students on my flist: you are also brilliant because you know how to ally internets with work.

Grrr... must not leave a mean reply. Must not leave a mean reply.

No love this morning,
Me

(and oh, that deadline tonight at midnight? Haven't progressed on that at all...)

Hi!!

Hey, just wanted to respond & not be rude, because you did comment to me oh, when was it, last week when I last posted...

However, I'm just not on LJ that often anymore because I was waaaay too sucked into it. In reclaiming a love of life, I didn't realize it was mostly virtual lives I was relating too, people unfortunately, whom I would never see in person for the most part. Coupled with a complete mistrust from husband Michael that I bought into, against which I didn't even stand up for myself, with the point that maybe one reason I was so easily drawn into LJ was because there was no socio-cultural LIFE in what was his idea of partnership & domesticity.

So, I had to get myself a local community. Maybe I'm just more social that the average human- I don't know- I craved something besides a couple of moms in town to be friends with. Diversity, for goodness sake! It's hard to come by when you're in a little town but have good memories of college where people were a lot more open and communicative than the platitudes you most often get here.

Anyway, so, now I'm part of a good diverse bunch of people and get my injection of philosophy or literature or music every once in a while.

Mostly, I wanted to get back on to LJ to hook up w. lj-user kittyvane, who had done the illustration that inspired my children's story, Anne & the Giant Bird. It was just a sweet, imaginative story, basically with the message that there's nothing wrong with a flight of fancy, and you don't have to be brash, bold or squashbuckling to do it.

Alas, I'm not hearing back from her.

What to do? Move along & get another person to do illustrations? That seems unfair and incorrect- it's her illustration, her feeling that evoked the writing from me.

It seemed like kismet when she posted something on a storybook illustrations community that totally spoke to me.

So, somehow, we could make this work: but, I can't move forward without her say-so that she'd like to do the other illustrations.

Nice to hear that you're ok! Your life seems awesomely filled with loads of fun and I do hope the LJ user you were talking about will get back to you. Good luck with your future projects, and as I always say, I'm now in Finland for at least three years, feel free to drop by any time, it's always nice to meet LJ faces :)

What, you're in Finland? I think I missed that when I was back-tracking on your LJ. That kitty_vane is (was?) in Helsinki... Yah, I /may/ need to go make a trip up there in person to track her down-- you & me could take her!

Gali, she's so cute with her home-sewn professional quality stuffed animals. You should see her page. Maybe she's too busy sewing to respond to me? *sigh!*

(I am not obsessing, I am not obsessing, I am not obsessing.)

Yope, I'm now in Finland for the next couple of years :) If she's a student, it's possible that right now she's on a tight schedule, final exams, graduations, etc... everyone around me is always running around it seems!

Ergh yeah, tell me about it. It's like all of a sudden, all of these new and often rather stupid people found the internet.

Go back to where you came from plskthxbye.

I think we need to introduce a "kick/ban" season... just to get rid of those who don't deserve the internets.
