Yes. The discworld nerd in me had to take that photo of lilac in Montreux just to be able to post it today. I should reread Night Watch but first I still haven't gotten ahead in Going Postal.

Guess what? France won't be in the top 20 again.

I've come to a very important decision this past week-end and it's that I won't be watching and rating every single ESC entry this year before the show. There 39 of them that's about three hours of videos to watch and write about and it's really not worth it. Obviously I have my three usual biases because of living arrangements: France, Ukraine and Finland. Let's just say that France is so embarrassing that it hurts. Ukraine... well, they'll put her in a nice décolleté and she'll do fine but it's nothing to write home about. Finland, Finland, Finland, I love it. I really love that song and the fact that one of the girls is actually playing the accordeon is a huge bonus! Maybe after work I can look at some of the entries of the semi-final tonight. We'll see. In any case, here are some cute signs telling dogs to be polite and mind where they poop. They were on every street corner in Montreux! So adorable! (yeah, I just called "no pooping" signs adorable)
