I'm a special snowflake!
Jan. 27th, 2010 09:22 amI have just gone back through some photos and I haven't posted even a third of the ones I have from Risoul. I doubt I'll ever go through them all but it's ok, most of them aren't really interesting for people outside my family. I was just thinking about Risoul because while going through the 1000 Awesome Things entries I fell on this one, #732 Taking your glasses or contact lenses off after a long day and a sub-entry was this: 1. Cracking open your ski boots after a day at the slopes and walking around in sock feet. All the bumps and blisters on your feet finally relax and dentisify by the chalet fire after being squeezed together all day. Strangely enough for me, I get more buzz from putting my ski boots on than taking them off. I love walking in ski boots. Yes, I know I'm strange, but I love the feeling of walking in them. I don't care that I look ridiculous and that I can't take a proper step, it's still an amazing feeling. I guess that must be because I'm so used to my boots, probably if I didn't have my own boots but had to rent some, I wouldn't be too keen on having them on either. ( so here is a photo of me and my dad on an old ski lift ) |
