Oh hei there! It's time for some more CERN photos! I might have said it before, when you're actually in CERN, it really just feels like a huge industrial site built in the 50s. As for most important projects, the hardware is important but the most precious thing there are the people. We had a couple of presentations on what the HIP (Helsinki Institute of Physics) does at CERN and why Finland is paying for 1.5% of the whole project. Anywho, the thing that amused me most was the way the streets were named after famous physicists. |
