This is a fine list - I'm interested by #3 because I know when I was about 14 I tried reading Coupland and didn't just dislike his stuff, I actually hated it. And now I can't even remember why. Given that so many people whose tastes usually run near mine love him, perhaps it's time I picked him up again...
