For a day or two during the summer the center of Paris becomes even more confusing for tourists because things get closed off. Bridges get closed off, you can't even get off at the Tuileries metro station, Place de la Concorde is closed off. Yes, that means only one thing - the Tour de France is ready to touch down in the city.

 Empty, or rather "emptier", streets.

It was a Sunday, around 9am and people were running everywhere and I did not bring my running shoes so I was just poutty and jealous.
The roads around the Tuileries were closed off. Hint if you still want to get into the Tuileries but obviously cannot get in from the sides and Concorde/Louvre - go to that pedestrian bridge on the second photo above and there are connection underground stairs. Why do I even know these things? It's like the map of Paris is forever imprinted in my brain.
Do you love me loads and loads and are super rich? I'd love to live on one of those boats and have an outdoor garden like that. Hint hint. Wink wink.
Yeah, dude that photo of the Concorde won't come out from here...
