Funny story. My parents have this really awesome appareil à raclette (raclette making machine?) that was bought in the mid-90s, I suppose. It's really awesome, it has the heating coil and everything but it also has a really amazing top part, half of it is made out of really heavy stone for pierrade and the other half can either be used for grilling on one side or for making crêpes. It's really simple to clean too as the top part easily comes off. Try finding such an awesome appareil à raclette these days and you soon notice that it's impossible! (at least at a decent price) So there, if you know anyone who works for small appliance manufacturers, tell them that. Bring back the good old appareil à raclette that's fully functional with tiny extras.
This appareil à raclette was also cool. It was all transparent with different levels and everything, but sadly no pierrade and no crêpes.
