cerealjoe | Last Friday - part I

So that France - Slovakia game from last Friday… no surprises in terms of who won but I have to admit that the French team has a certain quality to its game and it's different from what I'm used to because it's a lot more aerial than NHL-style games.

Long story short, I was actually on the Slovakia side during the warm-ups so I have a lot of good shots of those players and not so many of the Frenchies.

And hey! I can now name quite a few Frenchies.

I will never get used to the fact that they have a guy named "Satan" on their team… then again the Swiss' goalie (one of them…) is named "Gerber" and I always pronounce it the French way and that means "to puke".

One of the surprises for me was that Roussel was on the 3rd line (and Bozon on the 4th, but you know… Bozon, I guess he's still super young so it's ok). But I think the coach put him there because he's never really played with the others this year since he was in Dallas and the rest of the team had quite a few pre-champs games to get familiar with each other.
