Just to point out a random thing... I've seen a couple of blogs feature proudly the image below saying how the SF anti-Olympics protest was awesome. They're imbeciles, out of all the pictures they could have chosen, they chose the one that shows just how stupid some people are.



Of course, the person holding the sign could have done in an ironic way, kind of like "remember, we've already had this discussion and we made a mistake before" (0.00001% chance of that) but the people posting the image, they were not ironic and they desperately need to go read a history book.

Maybe they're just actively working for Olympics being held in China? Sort of.. infiltrating the protesters and pointing out historical facts? Sort of... 'And we can't be as bad as those guys, eh?'

If they'd just underlined the we there... *sigh*. It'd make so much more sense.

The first time I saw that picture I just felt like screaming 'Yes' at the screen on the off chance that it'd resonate in the universe until it finally would reach the person posting that photo.

The "Nazi-organised" games have produced lots of very emotional/quality photos... and it's just annoying that today no one seems to even remember seeing them/hearing about those games.

Wow. I always forget that my people aren't too good with history. You'd that events that happened in my lifetime, such as Vietnam & the Soviet experience in Afghanistan would have prevented us from doing stupid things like invade Afghanistan and Iraq. If we can't remember 30 years ago, how can we be expected to remember truly ancient history? I mean c'mon, that was at least 50 years ago!
