Water!

So far, China = awesome. Except they don't fucking serve regular water at the restaurant. And it's not a tiny restaurant in the middle of nowhere, this is a fancy restaurant we're eating at. At least a dozen dishes or more at each meal... Beer, Sprite and Coke flow freely but regular water? None.

I'll have to post pictures of the "drinking water" tap I have in the bathroom because even out of there the water tastes like shite. I'm boiling it first, thank god every room is equiped with a boiler and green tea otherwise I'd be dead. But seriously? Restaurant with spicy food and no water = too much beer (I'm against the soft drinks they serve) = Gali in not such a good shape tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I don't care, I'm not going to the 8:30am presentation of the whatever company but on Friday I have a fucking presentation at 8:30am representing lots of my work, I can't be slightly hung over then! Or tired for that matter.

I know, it's terrible expecially when one comes from Finland where you can drink from the lakes and such.

I didn't think you were supposed to drink any water in China.

Zomg China! :O

(I always feel REALLY confused when water from the tap isn't drinkable straight away. Tap water = clean, delicious, cool water to me.)

Good luck with the drinking situation. ;)

It's those kinds of travels that make me realise just how lucky we are to be able to find drinking water everywhere :)

Watch out for the bottled water, too. If it tastes like shite, DO NOT DRINK ANYMORE OF IT. I had the second worst case of bad stomach I've ever had in Beijing. Started on the train in the middle of the night and continued for two more days. It was brutal.

Not as bad as giardia, but still no fun.

I boiled even the "drinking water" there and thank god I had no problems. I didn't really try any of the food on the streets unless it came in a sealed package, that saved me a bit too.
