cerealjoe: (ducky - fun times!)

Yesterday I went to have lunch with my boss and I went for the vegetarian paella, which is of course not raw. Let me tell you that it felt heavy in my stomach afterwards and the craziest thing of all is that it made me so thirsty! You wouldn't believe just how much water I had to drink afterwards and no matter how much I drank, I was still thirsty. And it's not like I had a full plate of that paella, actually I surprised myself, I'm usually one to finish off everything but this time around I couldn't even get through half of it. I'll blame the three bananas I had for lunch and the salad I had as an entree.

I think that I'll stick to my fruits and veg for a bit yet, what's the point of fixing something that's not broken and for the past week nothing's been broken. And I do make sure I get enough protein and all the vitamins and things, so I don't really see a problem there.

Today I'm munching of some fresh coconut meat at work, it's actually really, really, really nice. The opening of the coconut wasn't so easy and nice but hey, got around to it.

And this is probably going to be one of the last regular updates on the raw experiment, I think landmark updates on that will be far less silly.

:) Thanks for the post! I always find it amazing how much your body "adjusts" to one thing or another and you never even realize it until you "go back." :)

My body has this amazing ability to adjust to anything. You can read about the worst experiences of people going to the toilet every 5 minutes when switching diets... but for me, nothing, nada! Overall I think our bodies are made to survive and well, sometimes it involves lots of fruit and veg and they accept that =)
