Why yes, I do love the Dirty Eyed Girls!

cerealjoeOkie. So how about some lulz tonight. You know how we all learned from Barney Stinson that nothing good can happen after 2am so you might as well go home? It's true. Nothing beats 2AM.
Raise your hand if you've heard of the Dirty Eyed Girls. Haven't heard of them? Well maybe you've heard the controversy of the article on some Dutch online place about the Chinese gay porn that came out recently. The one where someone commented that it wasn't actually Chinese but Japanese and then went on to make really homophobe comments. Even the DailyStar had their say on this! (note that the article is completely false)

The thing is, it's not Chinese gay porn or even Japanese gay porn or even any kind of porn at all. It's a great, amazing parody of Abracadabra by the Brown Eyed Girls by five amazing Korean guys. It's five guys, two from 2AM and three from 2PM. Probably the names won't tell you much so I won't bother actually trying to teach everyone who's who... the only one you'll really notice is Jo Kwon anyway. He's just amazingly fabulous, please see the bottom of this post for some videos of his awesomeness.
It all started on a "reality" tv show in which 2AM and 2PM starred. Something about bunnies (see my Nichkhun icon). I'll cut why they had to do it but in the end the five guys out eleven (Jaebom was still with 2PM at the time) had to record and film a music video for their parody. They called themselves the "Dirty Eyed Girls" because the lyrics are about... washing yourself. Yes, they're literally dirty and they must wash. They'll even wash their armpit hair and their panties! The Brown Eyed Girls even came to see how the video was made and got quite a laugh. The boys were acting so cute in front of them. 2PM also comes in at the end.
And now, in all its glory, Abracabadra - Dirty Eyed Girls version! (click here if you can't see the embedded)
Jo Kwon and Seulong, the two from 2AM also performed Abracadabra live. I dare anyone to say anything bad about this performance!
So you're in a boyband? No problem! We'll make you sing girlband songs complete with the dance moves! (and if your name is Jo Kwon or Key you'll already know the dance moves without us having to tell you to learn them - hell you'll even make your band dance and sing "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga! Oh Key, you were brilliant! And Minho being all pimpy on that couch with them balls around his neck!)
Probably the latest video of lots of boybands coming together to perform various girlband songs here we have Sign, Mister, Gee and other ones.
Another great example, 2PM, 2AM, Shinee and Super Junior - Boys' Generation - Gee. Yep, they almost beat SNSD (Girls' Generation) if you ask me.
Sometimes you go WTF, like here with 2PM and Shinee doing Genie (originally also by SNSD).
Sometimes it's scary, like Big Bang's version of SES.
(BTW, if you're in a girlband you'll be told to do boyband stuff like here SNSD doing SuJu's Sorry Sorry.)
Now the thing about Korea is that they love parodies and they love genderbending, oh yes they do! For example there are about fifteen boybands who have done parodies of Boys Over Flowers:
SS501's version (and part 2) - Big Bang's version (and part 2) - Shinee's radio version (and part 2) - F.T. Island's version.

Jo Kwon. You might have seen his name on my Twitter. I love this kid, I really do. He's just so flamboyant that I'm pretty sure he's not even close to being gay, as opposed to Shinee's Key restrained flamboyance which is much more proof. I think I'll only have time to show his dancing skills, he's also got singing skills and he's got amazing leadership skills and recently she's shown he'd make the best husband out there (if you have time, google "we got married" and watch the episodes with Jo Kwon, they're pretty much all subbed, Jo Kwon and Ga In are great together).

- 2AM doing Hot Issue (originally by 4Minute) - Jo Kwon shaking it at 2:00. Also that's one of the best version of Hot Issue I've seen out there!
- Hearbreaker - Jo Kwon would make G-Dragon so jealous!
- Single Ladies - ignore the first thirty seconds but afterwards Jo Kwon comes out and the fun starts. Hell, even Taemin and Minho are cracking up like there is no tomorrow in the background.
- Jo Kwon falls in love with an excavator - this is borderline WTF but also shows the greatness of Jo Kwon.
- More Beyonce dancing - and Taemin and Minho cracking up at Jo Kwon's style.
- I don't even know what this is - all I know is that Jo Kwon beat's Nichkhun's (is that even possible?) and Yesung's arses in being adorable!
And oh to hell! Last but not least, presenting my girl crush for 2009: Kara.
- Kara - Mister - God, seriously, that's hot. Love those girls!
Damn. This turned out really long and took about five hours to compose... and preceded my huge arse posts about my "happy places" aka Arashi and SS501. But in conclusion, I'd just like to say that I greatly admire all the peeps mentioned above and they're super duper fun and "journalists" should do some research before writing things and some people should be throw off the internet for making stupid comments. Final disclaimer: I'm not crazy! I'm not. Really. This is not even 0.00001% of what one could post on the subject.
