Ah... wouldn't you liked to require some assistance on Lake Geneva just to see this kind of boat coming to your rescue? I doubt it's used very often but there is still something about how peaceful it looks. In any case, let's go back to some fill in the blanks friday! 1. My dream vacation would be extremely long and would necessitate a lot of money. I basically can't choose a "dream holiday", it's just impossible. There are so many places I would love to go to but there usually isn't enough time. There are the Faroe Islands, there's Cambodia, there is actually the whole of South East Asia, there is Argentina and Chile and then there is the trans-Siberian and the trans-Mongolian. I really can't choose. 2. The best trip I've ever taken was perhaps my first trip to China because I really had no idea what to expect. I ended up doing only the touristy stuff but that first taste of China got me hooked and I really do think that eventually I'll have to get a new passport before my current one expires just because of all the Chinese visas! 3. The most important items to take on a road trip are clean undies and band aids. 4. The next trip I'm looking forward to is Korea! Only two more weeks and it's going to be awesome! 5. If I had to pick one CD to listen to for a long road trip it would be something by JJ Lin. If I had to pick just one JJ Lin album I'd say Sixology. One of the great things I love about JJ's music is the fact that on one album you have music to suit every single mood. 6. The biggest disaster I've ever encountered while traveling was probably the allergic reaction I got after two days of hiking in the Alps with my dad. I don't know what it was but the skin on my legs just got all weird. It went away pretty fast once I applied some anti-reaction stuff so it wasn't anything bad... I suppose it's on par with the allergic reaction I had in Shanghai where I was crying my eyes out because of the pollution/water. 7. My favorite traveling memory is camping all over France with my parents back in the old days. One year we really went all over the place! Now how about we look at some more prettiness from Montreux? Yes, I really did take hundreds of photos in the day and a half that we had there! I really do understand all the people who decided to pick that city as a place for retirement. |
I'll admit I'm much more of a dog person than a cat person but I'm usually not really scared of cats... but this one was creepy! I saw it sitting by the water and when I took my camera to take a photo it just looked at me, jumped and started walking towards me. It really wouldn't stop following me. I don't like that kind of cats, really don't like at all. There is a castle on the lake where someone famous once was detained or something of the sort. I really can't remember the whole story. It looks pretty much like any other structure of the era... but with Swiss flags. You could go visit but by that time I was rather tired and hungry so I went to the local restaurant. This cracked me up more than it should have. On the way back to Montreux from the castle I stopped by this tiny beach and don't you dare doing anything illegal there! Oh no! Some very official sounding dude with a long title said you can't have fun there after a certain hour. I noticed these random statues here and there along the coast. I really wonder how they're kept up right. |
