Going to bbq's in rubber boots.

Yesterday it rained in the morning but rain has never stopped us from going out for picnics! At least this time around it wasn't as freezing as on Vappu and there was no need to wake up 4:30am!

Plus there is a bbq shelter on Mustikkamaa so it was always possible to hide if the rain started up again.

From up close these looked like some shabby Daleks... minus the "terminate!" appendages. Proper Finnish mustard on a proper Finnish makkara! Warming up the Karelian pies and other breads. Mine's the homemade one at the back. What to do when you haven't got a plate and want some berry jam to dip your blood sausage into? Mother nature has an answer! The grill was never empty! This place is just one island away from the zoo. I've never been to the zoo here, not really my type of place. Hai boot buddies! Nothing beats nokian boots on a rainy day.

Originally almost all the photos came with stuff like "see how the focus is messed up here" and "the contrast wasn't done well" but I thought it's best I don't complain and just learn how to shoot in these types of conditions. The next picnic will be better! PS: this was a CS event so check out your local CS group, I bet there are some cool things going on there too!
