After the Whole duck hot translation at the Christmas market, here is another gem... once again it seems that those who attempted the translation did not even think of using GoogleTranslate. Unless it is actually possible to somehow "absorb a chairlift". I know for a fact that a few of the restaurant workers are native English speakers and I bet there must be a few good English speakers among the Risoul/Vars staff... so why didn't anyone tell those who put up the signs? Unless everyone gets a kick out of it like I did the rare times we fell on a chairlift that didn't slow down when picking up passengers. (I just checked with GoogleTranslate and "absorb" is the 3rd possible translation for "amortir", "cushion" being the first one. At least they didn't put "redeem" or "extinguish".)
