Day 317 - 17.09.10

Countries change, some things don't.

Niargh. Technology. Sigh.

Must not kill modern technology. Must not kill modern technology. Must not kill that dammed modern technology. Yeah, somehow whatever I just scanned got lost in the intricate workings of the network and I can't see it here. I could of course just go back upstairs with a USB stick and not rely on the network but I'm lazy and it can't just have disappeared! But hey, it's kind of rainy today and there are clouds stuck right around Mont Faron and the office windows give us the perfect view of that, it's already good! Other happy thoughts include tiny little things hiding in the garden. Aren't they cute? I don't know what I'll do once there won't be any pretty little things to find there during the winter (hint: I'll squee to death if ever we get snow around here).

Lunch series: week 3.

Yesterday I kept on thinking it was Friday and therefore today cannot possibly be Friday again. So yes, I'm being about as productive as a lazy monkey and I swear I keep smelling smoke outside... even though everyone tells me they can't smell a thing. I suppose it could be that the fog has a slight smoky smell to it. It's almost lunchtime and that means that I will be eating this:

So that's some quiche with eggplant filling and carrot salad and some fruit. But see, I was productive, I went through the lunch photos right away instead of waiting till next week. Who cares that it's in no way related to my thesis, it's still an accomplishment. Theses can wait. I actually had to write a publication list for the last twelve months and I was surprised at the length of it, I still seem to be on the good track. And now to the other lunches this week!

When I'll back at this in ten years I think I'll be admiring my dedication to my lunches, especially the dessert part. I don't get people who don't have dessert... eat less of the main dish, eat more dessert, that'll be my campaign slogan if ever I run for president of the universe. And this monitor makes all the colours look weird but I'll blame that on the fact that it's probably a very cheap one. They look on the mini-comp though.
