Day 01 // 02 // 03 // 04 // 05: my ideal future career. I don't really have a career plan, I just have a bunch of things which are related which would be nice to accomplish at one point. Ideally obviously I'd have a job which gives me enough money and leaves me with enough freedom. Possibly it will be in research although I'm not quite sure just how I want things to continue, if I can get a tenure spot in a good enough place that does not require loads of bureaucracy, has a limited amount of teaching hours and leaves me with enough time to develop my own ideas, then yeah, that'd be ace. But the more I get on with life, the more I realise that there is no way I could ever set a career path in stone for myself. That would be rather boring, wouldn't it? Just in case though, if you know someone who'd love to give me a tenure spot right away, tell them to contact me... I bet we could find an arrangement. In other news, will we ever get tired of this?
