Don't you just love radio plays with good actors?

C'est le calme plat... c'est beau. I have a new morning thing that keeps things nice and calm in the morning, I listen to Alex Taylor's morning show on France Musiques. He has quite a soothing voice and you can't go wrong with his lovely accent... and apparently he's an English gentleman in his 50s and we all know that I have a thing for older English gentlemen (extra points if they happen to be gay, for some reason). In terms of voice porn*, he's quite close in my list to Paul McGann's voice when he plays Eight in the Doctor Who audioseries. And that is all I had to say. On to more calm... * if you have no idea what "voice porn" is, you live in a sad world. It's when you could listen to someone read off the Yellow Pages and still be glued to the radio. It often happens to me when I listen to radio plays, the plot is often horrible but I can't stop listening because one of the actors just has that kind of a voice you can't stop listening to.

Gah, I have several actors that could tell me I was dying and I'd listen to every word they said because of their voice. John Barrowman, Sean Connery, Stephen Fry.....they could read me the alphabet over and over and I'll listen...

I am the same with those three. Gods, Stephen Fry could read absolutely anything and I'd listen. I'd add Nigel Planer to the list. And possibly Stephen Briggs as well. :D

Yup, yup, Stephen Fry is one of those people who just happen to have a good voice for radio plays/audiobooks. I suppose John Barrowman too but whenever I hear his voice I now associate it to the fake American accent he tried to put on and it's a big turn off. Ah, nobody is perfect!

MMM. I love some voice porn. James Earl Jones comes to mind. I don't have a "thing" for him other than his voice but it would sure be nice if he'd read me a bedtime story.

I think that's the thing about voice porn, usually the physique does nothing, it's all in the voice.
