Third and last part about the Salon du Chocolat (de Marseille, 2nd edition) - in case someone missed the first and second parts, they can be found here and here (and the post-salon ice cream quest is here). This one is mainly about... euh... not so much chocolate. Again. But hey, there were tons of sweeties and enough chocolate, so we'll forgive them. I like to joke that I want a grandma from every region on this planet. My grandma from Morocco would make me real couscous and these kinds of sweets. Grandma or great-aunt or you know, someone who'd feed me yummy things. I also want a grandma who can cook some mean stinky tofu and make those Chinese bakery breads and also one who can make proper paella and chili and the list could go on forever. Some of the stuff kind of hurt my wallet. After the candy filled with rose ganache there was a demonstration of a terrine filled with candied oranges and lemons. Said terrine. I would have added less sugar. Le savoir-faire ne s'improvise pas... |
