For the first time today I honestly thought that it's time to break out the summer cycling jersey... along with arm warmers during the morning ride. When I got the winter softshell and the summer jersey from Rapha, I had no idea I was going to wear that softshell still in May and most likely I'll still be wearing it on most rainy days. Heck, I only started wearing it a couple of weeks ago when a thermal underlayer was no longer needed, otherwise it was too thin even though it's meant for winter rides. Now look at those arm warmers! Sure, Rapha stuff is overpriced but, hey, there was a half-off sale on all women's cycling gear and these guys are amazing in terms of making cycling gear specifically for female bodies. Oh, they also have pretty packaging. And Julie Krasniak is on their Rapha Focus team and she's way up there in the top of the top of my girlcrushes. On the softshell, there is a band on the left-hand shoulder for a courier bag strap. Fancy shmancy but alas not very useful as I prefer backpacks. Overall though, I do have to admit that cycling to work comfortably is not a cheap affair, I do believe that at 150e for the softshell it's the most I've ever spent on clothing outside my good winter coat ... at least I'm really lucky that we have pretty awesome showers at work and all that.
