In the land of "why do I do this to myself?" we have this… But I have an excuse! The library system acquired 10 regular copies that are kept in different libraries and 3 copies they keep in the "no holds, no renewals" stacks at Library 10… and there are about 30 holds already on the 10 regular copies but there was still one copy left at Library 10 and when I saw that online, well, I couldn't not go there and get it!

Yep, I've also read quite a few good reviews about it, apparently it's rather candid. I just have this apprehension about reading it because out of all of those who were caught, somehow Tyler getting caught hit me the hardest... or maybe it's the whole evil twin thing that hit me the hardest, I don't. So yeah, I'm kind of afraid that it will be a lot of "woe is me" stuff and that it will completely remove whatever sympathy I still have for him (like in Fignon's autobiography's chapter 1 - I honestly could not have said a single bad thing about the man before but after reading that chapter, I just... almost lost a lot respect for him - although the translator could be partly to blame, Fignon's style has always been rather direct and maybe it just doesn't translate well into English, should have picked up the book in French but what is done is done).

Anywho. I'll probably start on that in the plane tomorrow (if I don't sleep through both flights, 5 hours on the bike the day before + 4am wake up call for the first flight = probably I will be a zombie tomorrow).

I think that for me, I was just relieved when Tyler finally came clean. But I totally understand how you feel. I think my mom was a little thrown by Tyler as well, we started watching the TDF the year Tyler rode the whole TDF with his broken back ...
