I visited the Reina Sofia museum on the same day as the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum and the latter was much more pleasant I thought. The Reina Sofia museum is all over the place, the layout was extremely hard for me to get a hold of and some of the works definitely could have showcased much better. I did like the Bibliographical Forms exhibit, which I have written about previously, and the Hackney Collective wall was an interesting read, but other than that there wasn't much to catch my attention.

The Thyssen-Bornemisza museum also houses quite an eclectic collection but it's much more coordinated, I find, than the Reina Sofia collection. There are works from all eras and yet they make sense.

Oh, and on that day I also dropped by the botanical gardens... which was a waste of time because I have yet to see such a sorry looking botanical garden anywhere! I'm such it's all nice and pretty in the summer but even the winter section was sorry looking in the middle of winter.
