Remember that one time I said I was going to get plants for my place? That was a NY's resolution a couple of years back. Yeah, that kind of fell through. I blame it on the fact that the window sill in my current flat is so tiny and can't possibly house plants. And I figure that my parents make up, both in terms of house plants and gardening, where I lack. ![]() (also going through all these photos from Marseille has made me realise just how much light inspires me. I haven't taken the camera outside in weeks here, it's just so bleak all the time. Only a few more weeks till February and then I know that the sky is always clearer as it gets colder!) The state of the garden as of last week... things are moving along so fast. I must admit I contribute in nothing to get things moving, I do not have a green thumb at all. I've written about it before but my mum and dad are amazing in making things grow on these rocks, takes hours and hours of work though. ( +3 - have to have the right tools ) Alright, so I did do a tad of gardening, if you count planting some seeds in a bowl as gardening. ( +3 - here is the proof that I did do something ) |
Directly from the family garden...
Aug. 2nd, 2010 11:07 amI've mentioned this before but the one thing I absolutely admire about my parents' house in Marseille is their garden. It takes a hell a lot of work and dedication keeping everything alive and thriving though the summer! And of course it doesn't hurt that one can just eat strawberries and tomatoes and other stuff right from the garden. |
( some more gorgeous stuff here ) |
