Do you wash your rugs in public?
Jun. 9th, 2010 06:28 pmOne of the greatest things about Helsinki is that some traditions hold even though the city is modern. You can still wash and hang your rugs to dry on what is probably one of the most popular seaside walks! And the best part is that most likely no one will try to steal those rugs.
We saw those hanging last Sunday when ![]() Also as we continued walking along the shore we came to this rather bizarre statue that was gifted by the USSR. Nothing says "Finland, now we're besties!" like a huge statue! At least the pigeons seem to like it. Actually the fun part is that in the two and a half years I've been in Helsinki, I had never walked those 500m along the shore between Cafe Ursula and Olympiaterminaali before.
