I have a technical question. What do fellow LJers use to write posts? I usually start posts on the LJ update page in multiple tabs and then I sometimes close one by mistake or sometimes when 1203982 tabs are open Opera crashes and everything is lost. I still can't find a "save draft" button on the LJ update page and I highly doubt I would have missed it in the past seven years and that's kind of upsetting.

All input is greatly appreciated!

And here are some flowers I found the other day. I quite like how the sign was written... and it makes me wonder just what kinds of people there are in this world that such a sign is necessary.

I forgot to say - that I like having them in word, because it's a great backup :)

It's true that it's a good back-up... but alas I have yet to find a good way to transport word docs from one place to the next (from work to home to laptop, etc.) that's the main thing I'm looking for these days.

When I use my iPod touch, I used Journaler to update or reply to comments (as I'm doing now). On the computer at home I usually use the web interface for my regular LJ and usually semagic from everything else. At work I only use the web interface. None of them are satisfactory. Also, if I start a post and then end up losing it, I just dismiss it as not being that important if I didn't post it right then. Ideally I'd like LJ to update as easily as tumblr but I know that'll never happen. Oh, I also know lots of people who update with Dreamwidth. Not me because I can't have all the icons I want over there. Hope this makes sense!

I quite agree that being to update LJ like Tumblr would be great, especially having drafts saved on site and not on a computer (like with semagic). I sometimes use the Opera notes thing with the synchronising if I start an entry at work and want to finish at home, but it's quite a hassle.

LJ does save your most recent entry and ask to restore from draft, but I don't know how often they do it or anything like that. I would like to use Opera, but it's impossible to use it with LJ, so I just stick to Firefox.
