Toy lens for a DSLR... might just work!
Feb. 16th, 2011 09:27 amThere are many reasons why I love my 20mm f1.7 lens, the colour rendering is really awesome and it is perfect for low light shots... but I've been looking around for f1.4 or even lower micro 4/3 lenses. Not that I don't like shots like this already. Those are some roses my mum got for her birthday last week. I fell in love with this shot. I know I could get a much cheaper f1.4 lens and then an adapter but once again why get a heavy lens to use with an extremely small and light camera? There are micro 4/3 lenses with f0.95 (this one and this one) but they're both 400+g which is still too heavy, in my opinion. For comparison, the 20mm f1.7 is 100g and the kit 14-42mm is 150g. In other news though, there is the micro 4/3 toy lens kit. Do not need. Do not need. Do not need. But want so much. *sigh* I should probably go back to crocheting or knitting. But then I'd covet random yarn that can only be found in one tiny village in the middle of Nepal. Or something. |
