I know what you're thinking, you're thinking "you went to Braunschweig and all you've got to show are hippo shaped cookies?" but let me tell you, it's just the beginning. Yeah, I probably got way more excited than a 25 year old should when I saw these but you have to understand that we do not have Kinder Happy Hippos around here, wiki tells me they're pretty much available everywhere but in France! We have Kinder Surprise eggs, we have Kinder Bueno, we have Kinder Penguin and probably some other Kinder stuff... but Happy Hippo? Nope.
Oh, and from twitter and bad_habit's reaction I gather they're not available in Estonia either.
So let me show you this Kinder Happy Hippo. The sugar bomb with white chocolate and some random stuff inside and its little bottom covered in tiny bits of chocolate that are bound to fall off and get everywhere.

( +2 - the box and the inside )
I've also learnt that apparently German Nutella isn't the same as the French version. I didn't verify it because there were better things to each for breakfast but the German version is supposed to be softer, something to do with spreading it over toast rather than bread. Ah, the discussions we have while on the train back to the airport.
Could be true, could be false. I think it calls for another trip to Germany for me to verify personally. |
